How to enrol at Lagos Life UNILAG
- Travel to University of Lagos in Akoka, Yaba, then open Senate Building.
- Choose Apply & Matriculate and select a course.
- Pay the ₦35,000 base enrolment charge: ₦15,000 acceptance and ₦20,000 for the first session.
- Open the student panel for your 100L semester and fee status, then use the Lecture Theatre for classes.
Apply & Matriculate takes 30 game minutes. A Sim already enrolled or already graduated cannot enrol again. A Lagos Life UNILAG fresher starts at 100L with the first session paid, so that start does not need the ordinary ₦35,000 enrolment payment.
UNILAG courses: skills, levels and matching careers
| Course | Main skill | Levels | Careers with the extra degree bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Computer Science | Coding | 4 · two semesters each | Tech |
| Systems Engineering | Coding | 5 · two semesters each | Tech |
| Mass Communication | Charisma | 4 · two semesters each | Content Creator, Football |
| Law | Charisma | 5 · two semesters each | Law |
| Accounting | Hustle | 4 · two semesters each | Banking, Trading, Retail |
| Creative Arts | Music | 4 · two semesters each | Music, DJ, Event Planning |
| Nursing Science | Fitness | 5 · two semesters each | Nursing |
| Education | Charisma | 4 · two semesters each | Teaching |
A Lagos Life university course has two semesters per level. Four levels mean eight semesters; five mean ten. The “years” in the course label describe these levels rather than a real-world waiting period.
Matching means the career is listed for your course. Computer Science gives its extra five percentage points in Tech; Accounting matches Banking, Trading and Retail. The same degree keeps its general bonus in other careers but loses that extra course match. Check the career entry skills alongside the degree, because a matched course does not replace a job’s skill requirement.
Lagos Life UNILAG exam requirements and class times
| Exam requirement | What counts |
|---|---|
| Three classes this semester | Completed lectures or tutorials. Reading does not replace class attendance. |
| Three game days since semester start | Elapsed time for this semester, separate from the class count. |
| Current-level fees paid | Use Pay School Fees at Senate Building when the new level is unpaid. |
| Exam starts 08:00–before 20:00 | The Sim’s game clock controls the start window. |
| No ASUU strike | Lectures and exams pause during the strike. |
Attend a Lecture takes 60 game minutes and runs Monday–Friday from 08:00 to before 18:00. Evening Tutorial Class takes 45 minutes, runs daily from 16:00 to before 22:00 and costs ₦500 at base price. Three lectures occupy 180 action minutes; three tutorials occupy 135 and cost ₦1,500. Both routes still need three elapsed game days.
For example, three classes finished on a semester’s first day satisfy attendance only. The exam remains locked until the day requirement is met. On a weekend, tutorials supply a class window even though weekday lectures are unavailable; an ASUU strike still blocks the exam itself.
UNILAG exam preparation and carry-overs
Read in the Main Library takes 60 game minutes. Night Reading (TDB) takes 120 when its night window is available, and Photocopy Past Questions costs ₦300 for a 15-minute action. These build preparation; none adds a lecture or tutorial to the required class count.
Write the Semester Exam takes 90 game minutes. Preparation, your course skill and mood influence the grade. Passing the entry gates alone does not guarantee a pass or First Class result. The exam also consumes Energy and Fun.
Check Results on the Portal is a five-minute action. An F creates a carry-over and repeats that semester, rather than advancing you. A passing first-semester result moves you into semester two at the same level; a passing second-semester result moves up one level or graduates you at the final level.
UNILAG fees: ₦95,000 or ₦115,000 at base price
Lagos Life UNILAG school fees recur at each new level, not each semester. An ordinary four-level course costs ₦35,000 initially plus three later ₦20,000 payments: ₦95,000 in acceptance and session fees. A five-level course adds a fourth later payment, totaling ₦115,000.
These totals exclude food, rent, tutorials, past questions and carry-over spending. Choosing three paid tutorials in every semester adds ₦12,000 across eight semesters or ₦15,000 across ten at the ₦500 base tutorial price. Using eligible lectures for some or all classes reduces that tutorial cost.
Every new semester resets the class requirement and three-day exam wait. Advancing from 100L semester one to semester two does not trigger another ₦20,000 bill; advancing from 100L semester two to 200L does. Pay School Fees takes 15 game minutes, and the student panel identifies the level currently unpaid.
UNILAG fresher allowance, food and hall rent
A fresher starts with ₦14,000, first-session fees covered and no LAPO loan. The Monday allowance is ₦3,000, while base hall rent is ₦1,200 weekly. One allowance minus one unpaid rent bill leaves ₦1,800 before classes and meals.
At the campus buka, Rice, Beans & Dodo costs ₦350 and restores 68 Hunger in a 30-minute action; Bread & Akara costs ₦200 and restores 35 in 15 minutes. Three ₦500 tutorials plus one ₦350 meal cost ₦1,850, already ₦50 more than the allowance left after hall rent. The starting balance or extra earnings must cover that gap; the allowance alone does not pay every student bill.
Graduates have seven game days to pack out of the hall. Add the next home’s upfront move charge and rent to the cash budget, using the housing comparison before the hall deadline arrives.
UNILAG degree pay bonuses: the 25% career match
| Degree class | CGPA threshold | Other career bonus | Course-matched career bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Class | 4.5+ | 20% | 25% |
| Second Class Upper (2:1) | 3.5+ | 12% | 17% |
| Second Class Lower (2:2) | 2.4+ | 6% | 11% |
| Third Class | Below 2.4 | 3% | 8% |
A First Class UNILAG degree gives 20% generally, plus five percentage points in a matching career. On ₦10,000 before the degree modifier, that is ₦12,000 in another career or ₦12,500 in a matched one. Tax, shift completion and other modifiers can change the final receipt.
First Class and Second Class Upper graduates can enter an eligible ordinary career at its second level. Lower and Third enter at the first. This starting-level benefit is separate from the degree’s pay percentage, and entry skills and job availability still apply.
Computer Science or Systems Engineering for Tech?
Both courses use Coding as their main skill and match the Tech career’s extra degree bonus. Computer Science has four levels and eight semesters; Systems Engineering has five levels and ten. At ordinary base fees, the five-level route costs ₦20,000 more and requires two more semesters.
If both graduates earn the same degree class and take a matching Tech job, the degree-pay percentage is the same. A longer course does not raise the matched First Class bonus above 25%.
