How to make money in Lagos Life: jobs and gigs
To make money in Lagos Life from a current job, open the phone’s Jobs / Career panel on a workday and use Go to work. You can start one shift that day from 06:00 to before 22:00 in the workplace’s city. Finish the shift when your needs allow it, then read the wage receipt.
Tech Intern starts at ₦9,900 base full-shift pay; Banking Marketer at ₦11,600. Later career levels pay more, but require performance and skill progression. Training for the next promotion can improve your earnings without buying a different business. Compare entry pay and career ladders before changing jobs.
A salary card is a full-shift base figure. Leaving early changes the completed fraction, while tax and applicable bonuses change the final wage. The partial-pay examples explain why a smaller receipt can be correct. Separate your commute from the wage when deciding how much you can spend.
Earn without buying a laptop or other furniture
| Action | Where to find it | Base action earnings | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Help at the Buka | Amala Shitta, Surulere | ₦1,750 | 90 game minutes; spends Hygiene and Fun. |
| Carry Load (Alabaru) | Balogun Market, Lagos Island | ₦2,250 | 120 game minutes; spends Energy and Hygiene, trains Fitness. |
| Report a Crime | Eko Police Division | ₦2,000 | 30 game minutes; an in-game reporting action. |
In Lagos, open Amala Shitta’s Things to do list for Help at the Buka, or Balogun Market’s list for Carry Load. Amala Shitta opens 07:00–22:00; Balogun Market 07:00–19:00. Eko Police Division is listed open 24 hours. None of these three actions asks you to buy a skill object first.
Choose the action your Sim can sustain. Carry Load pays more at base than washing plates and also trains Fitness, but uses Energy and Hygiene over a longer listed action. Wash or rest afterward before an important shift. Report a Crime is the named game action; it does not require sending a real-world report outside the game.
Include the quoted travel cost in your choice. With a chosen total fare of ₦300, a ₦1,750 Buka payment would leave ₦1,450 before any other charges. Staying nearby or combining the trip with a meal changes that cash decision. Read the action’s current availability and final payment before counting another session as money received.
Home side gigs: skill gates, prices, and earnings
| Income action | Where it appears | Equipment and unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Freelance Gig | Laptop Desk; also a separate CcHub action | Laptop Desk ₦18,000; Coding 2. |
| Run Instagram Shop | Laptop Desk | ₦18,000 laptop; no separate minimum Hustle level listed. |
| Paid Skit for a Brand | Ring Light & Phone Stand | ₦9,500 equipment; Comedy 3 and power. |
| Edit & Sell Photos | DSLR Camera & Tripod | ₦24,000 equipment; Photography 3 and power. |
| Write a Banger | Acoustic Guitar | ₦4,200 equipment; Music 3. |
Lagos Life’s home Freelance Gig takes 180 game minutes. Its base earning formula is ₦1,500 + ₦1,400 × your whole Coding level: ₦4,300 at Coding 2. CcHub’s Freelance Gig is a different 120-minute action with the formula ₦1,000 + ₦750 × Coding, or ₦2,500 at level 2. Compare equipment and journeys as well as the shared action name.
Run Instagram Shop takes 90 game minutes and uses ₦400 + ₦700 × whole Hustle level. At Hustle 2, that base formula gives ₦1,800. The laptop therefore supports two different income skills. If you are a LAPO Sim starting with at least Hustle 2, check which action you can use now instead of assuming you must first train Coding.
Write a Banger takes 120 game minutes and uses ₦2,000 + ₦1,250 × whole Music level; level 3 gives ₦5,750. Paid Skit for a Brand takes 90 minutes and uses ₦1,750 + ₦1,125 × Comedy, giving ₦5,125 at level 3. Edit & Sell Photos takes 90 minutes and uses ₦1,250 + ₦1,050 × Photography, giving ₦4,400 at level 3. These are base formula examples; progress during the action and current game modifiers can change the final result.
Home side-gig equipment: how many base payments cover it?
| Chosen base-payment scenario | Equipment price | Base payment at unlock | Payments covering purchase only |
|---|---|---|---|
| Freelance Gig, Coding 2 | ₦18,000 Laptop Desk | ₦4,300 | 5 |
| Run Instagram Shop, Hustle 2 | ₦18,000 Laptop Desk | ₦1,800 | 10 |
| Write a Banger, Music 3 | ₦4,200 Acoustic Guitar | ₦5,750 | 1 |
| Paid Skit for a Brand, Comedy 3 | ₦9,500 Ring Light & Phone Stand | ₦5,125 | 2 |
| Edit & Sell Photos, Photography 3 | ₦24,000 DSLR Camera & Tripod | ₦4,400 | 6 |
Each count is the equipment price divided by that chosen base payment, rounded up. It excludes training time, electricity, groceries, tax and any other charge. It is a purchase-cost comparison, not measured profit or a promise that every future action pays the same amount.
The guitar is cheaper than the laptop, but Write a Banger remains locked until Music 3. You can use the laptop for the Instagram shop without a separate minimum Hustle gate, then unlock freelancing at Coding 2. Comedy and paid photo editing also need power at home. Choose the training action that reaches the income gate you can use.
When a business purchase fits your savings
Recharge & Data Kiosk, the cheapest listed passive asset, costs ₦150,000. A Mushin LAPO start has ₦76,000 before spending, leaving a ₦74,000 gap even before reserving bills. A passive business also has operating costs and bad-day outcomes; its proceeds range is not the same as net profit.
Save from completed wages and gigs, then compare the purchase against the business costs and payback calculator. A registered player company is a separate system with registration and setup costs. For the daily treasure task, use the current gem clue and expiry rather than treating its reward as a fixed wage. Game Naira remains virtual currency and cannot be withdrawn as real cash.
