How to run for Lagos Life Governor

1. Open Phone → Lagos Gov → Governor and read the current election and eligibility message.
2. Enter a slogan of 3–80 characters and keep ₦50,000 available for the campaign fee.
3. Submit Run and check whether your candidacy appears on that election’s ballot.
4. Use the campaign share option for your accepted candidacy. Voters still need to visit the Polling Unit to cast a ballot.

The Lagos Life Governor fee is one condition for candidacy. A player with enough cash can still be blocked by another eligibility message. Run can also be unavailable while a submission is in progress. After a connection interruption, check the candidate list before retrying so you can distinguish an accepted entry from a failed submission.

A slogan outside the 3–80 character range fails the stated length requirement. Paying the entry fee buys a place in the race when accepted, while the votes at closing decide office. A campaign link from an earlier race may not represent a candidacy on the current ballot.

Governor campaign fee: cash remaining after entry

With ₦100,000, the ₦50,000 Governor fee leaves ₦50,000. If your Mushin rent of ₦2,400 and a ₦12,000 LAPO collection are also unpaid, ₦35,600 remains before food and campaign travel. This example counts one of each bill; include the amounts actually due on your own Sim.

Starting with exactly ₦50,000 covers entry but leaves nothing for another fare or meal. Use the budget planner to separate campaign money from the next bills. An accepted candidate has not yet earned the office’s allowance, so that potential payout cannot cover the entry fee you must pay now.

Voting and campaigning are separate actions. The ₦50,000 charge is for becoming a candidate; it is not a voting purchase and does not provide extra ballot papers. A trip to support another candidate needs a transport budget, not the campaign entry budget.

Lagos Life voting at Polling Unit 001

1. Read the active Governor candidates and deadline in Lagos Gov.
2. Travel to Polling Unit 001 on Lagos Island using Map or the panel’s Go control.
3. After arrival, use Cast Your Vote to open the ballot and select the intended candidate.
4. Submit while the election is open and read the ballot result or eligibility message.

The Polling Unit supplies one ballot paper per race. The new-player notice says voting opens after your first day in Lagos; the active ballot’s eligibility message controls whether your Sim can vote. Paying to run does not remove that voting requirement.

Cast Your Vote is the ballot action. Get Accredited and Watch the Live Count are other activities at the Polling Unit, with five- and 30-minute base action durations; using them does not submit your candidate choice. A campaign share link also does not cast a vote.

Check travel time and fare before leaving. Confirm the candidate on the active ballot rather than selecting a familiar name from an old shared link. If you have already voted in that race, another visit does not issue a second ballot.

Lagos Life Governor election deadline and weekly term

The Governor election closes Sunday at 20:00 Africa/Lagos, or 19:00 UTC. This is real calendar time; the Sim’s game clock does not move the poll deadline. Use the election countdown for the time left to arrive and submit.

The election checked on 2026-10-12 closes at 18 October 2026 at 20:00 Lagos time. This is a dated ballot snapshot. A later weekly race has its own candidates and closing timestamp, so reopen Lagos Gov before following an older campaign link.

The player with the most votes at closing wins one week as Lagos Life Governor. Leading the live count before 20:00 does not establish the final winner, and entering near the deadline does not extend the race. After the election changes, Lagos Gov shows the term and next ballot.

Lagos Life Governor policies: what each one changes

The Governor receives a ₦25,000 daily allowance while in office and can use announcements and city-wide policies. An active policy can change an ordinary player’s fare, food bill or shift earnings without changing the base values in a catalogue.

Transport subsidy halves danfo and keke fares. For ₦2,000 in eligible rides, the saving is ₦1,000; the same claim does not apply to a flight. Food subsidy cuts eligible groceries and food by 30%, saving ₦600 on a ₦2,000 basket before other price changes.

The minimum wage raise adds 15% to shift earnings. A ₦10,000 amount before that multiplier becomes ₦11,500, a ₦1,500 increase. Your shift receipt can still include degree pay, tax and a partial shift, so the policy multiplier alone is not the final cash figure.

Owambe season strengthens Fun from places around Lagos by 30%; it does not increase the gem prize or every earning action. Steady light makes NEPA cuts shorter and rarer rather than guaranteeing uninterrupted power. Check the active policy before choosing between a paid activity, a grocery trip or a shift.

Governor ballots and other elected offices

Senate and President have separate election settings. The Governor’s ₦50,000 fee, daily allowance and city policies apply to the Governor race only. Open the panel for the office you actually want before paying a fee or travelling to vote. One ballot per race also does not mean the Governor ballot supplies a vote for every other office.
